Awards & Acknowledgement for Financial Educators in the Caribbean

Teachers have the single most important impact on students’ success – a far more powerful impact than any resource or curriculum. The National Financial Educators Council recognizes the people across the Caribbean region working to transform knowledge into long-term behavior change and create positive learner outcomes. We acknowledge those instructors and leaders whose work in financial education results in measurable learning gains, builds program sustainability, and propels the financial wellness movement forward.

Our Financial Educators Day Award and Program Spotlights recognize and raise awareness about educators who achieve demonstrable learner outcomes. These community-wide celebrations showcase instructors who lead by example to produce models that other communities across the Caribbean can replicate.

National Financial Educator Day Caribbean Region

Financial Educators Day is a celebration to recognize teachers who are striving to improve financial capability among their fellow community members. As we take this opportunity to acknowledge traditional educators, we also want to thank the volunteers, financial services professionals, interested citizens, and others who teach personal finance. Every one of these individuals adds value to the effort.

Financial Educators Day is observed annually on the last Friday of April. This celebration initially came into being through the support of legislators, celebrity figures, and financial literacy organizations. Today it has become a day of recognition, salutation, and advocacy.

First launched in 2014, Financial Educators Day has awarded recognition to more than 1,000 individuals from 43 countries to thank them for their unflagging efforts. These countries include: Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago.
